Disclaimer

This disclaimer explains how to read Chronira's results. The calculations follow documented rules, but they are informational and do not replace an official source or professional advice.

Results are for information

Chronira calculates dates, durations and calendars from the values you enter, using the rules described in the methodology. Results marked “Exact” are pure calendar arithmetic, but they depend on correct inputs and on the convention chosen, such as whether the start date is counted. Before acting on a result that matters, check it against the official source that applies to you.

Islamic dates are expected

Hijri dates use the Umm al-Qura calendar, the official civil calendar of Saudi Arabia. Dates of Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, the Islamic New Year and other occasions are shown as expected: in many countries the official start of a month depends on the moon-sighting announcement, and it can differ by a day from the Umm al-Qura date. Chronira does not issue religious rulings and does not announce official dates. Follow the announcement of the authority in your country.

The work hours and time card tools add up the times you enter and apply the overtime thresholds, rates and multipliers you choose. They do not know your contract, collective agreement, local law or exemptions, and they do not calculate taxes, deductions or legal entitlements. Results are not legal, payroll or financial advice. For a pay dispute or a legal question, check your contract, your employer, or a qualified professional or labour authority.

Business days and public holidays

The business days calculator uses the public holidays defined by the laws listed on the sources page: the 11 French public holidays of the Labour Code and the US federal holidays on their observed dates. Regional holidays, state holidays, company closures and sector-specific rules are not included unless you add them as extra days off. Legal deadlines can follow their own counting rules, so confirm any deadline with the relevant authority or a professional.

Time zones and today’s date

Pages that show today’s date are first rendered for a reference time zone and then updated with your device’s clock. If your device clock or time zone is set incorrectly, “today” and countdowns will be wrong too.

Timers

Online timers depend on your device and browser. Sound, vibration and keeping the screen on are not available on every device. Do not rely on a browser timer where a missed alarm could cause harm.

Errors

If you believe a result is wrong, please use the Report an error button under the tool or the contact page. Confirmed errors are corrected.
